Growth of QR Codes (Infographic)

I wanted to take a moment and share this fantastic infographic on the growth of QR Codes with you.

These are the two most interesting statistics to me:

  • QR Codes Scanned Mostly by Women (64%)
  • Only 22% of Fortune 50 Companies Using QR Codes

Seems a bit of a disconnect between the two numbers to me, but then again, the larger the company the slower the implementation.

There has been a lot of debate over the last few months as to the use of QR Codes, and honestly, I am torn on the subject. I would love to get your opinions on what you think the future holds, and what the evolution of the QR Code might look like.

Perfect timing for the podcast... can't wait until that's up. Always love working with the best of the best my friend! I still won't support QR codes though!

It is nice way to promote product and pages in newspaper on bus stops etc. I scan here and there and often receive coupons or discounts. Worth playing with them

I agree NenadPantelic. The stats are showing that folks are using them, and I think it opens the door for a lot of creativity. Most of the case studies I have seen have been with big brands, so I am digging around looking for some success stories from smaller companies and entrepreneurs now. I will probably do a post on that in mid-January. Thank you for stopping by!
